Pandit Tripurari Mishra, a nearby pundit, in the meantime, brought, "Bats are said to be representatives of Goddess Laxmi. We want to remember that mankind has been going through the fury of nature -- be it the extreme bloodless and now the heatwave situations, the Corona virus and the locust assault. The deaths of bats in such huge range is every other ominous sign."
Mishra stated that people need to arrange 'pujas' in their houses to make amends for their sins and seek divine intervention.
Dhruv Narain Shahi, in whose orchard, the bats were found dead, but, refused to touch upon the incident.
