Panic in UP's Gorakhpur Town After 52 Bats Drop Dead

Pandit Tripurari Mishra, a nearby pundit, in the meantime, brought, "Bats are said to be representatives of Goddess Laxmi. The deaths of bats in such huge range is every other ominous sign."

Mishra stated that people need to arrange 'pujas' in their houses to make amends for their sins and seek divine intervention.

Dhruv Narain Shahi, in whose orchard, the bats were found dead, but, refused to touch upon the incident.
